Middle School students work on the Periodic Table so make sure they spend some time reviewing this site.  In addition to the interactive Periodic Table, make sure they click on the links above the table to learn more.

National Geo for Kids

This is a great site for parents and children to explore.  You can find videos, acivities, games, photos...to keep your children engaged for hours.  Sometimes though a site like this can be just too much at first.  Look at it before you have your child go to the site and decide what you think would be a good section to review together.  If you know that your child is learning about the continents you might go to the GAMES section and click on Geography Games to find Copycat.  This reminds me a bit of Simon. 

NASA

You can always find something geat on the NASA site!  This link should take you to the students section.  You'll notice that grade levels are suggested on the left.  Click the appropriate level and have fun exploring.  You'll find fun games, sections to play and learn, search options, homework help and plenty to keep your children interested for a good amount of time.  NASA TV is great to watch whenever there is a launch.  Check out the schedule and maybe you and your children can watch it!
